The subsidiary Thies Dofama is based in Kamienna Góra, Poland. Dofama was originally set up as a textile company. The Thies family acquired its first shares in the traditional mechanical engineering company in 1997.

Dofama has been fully owned by the group since 2006. Thies Dofama Sp. z. o. o. is characterized by an excellent infrastructure, modern production equipment and highly qualified employees.

Alchrom Thies

For a long time, the Thies-headquarters has maintained excellent business relations with the Slovenian company Alchrom, which was founded in 1958 and is based in Ruse, about 15 km from the Slovenian city of Maribor. Thies purchased its first shares in the company in 1994, and in 2007, the mechanical engineering company became wholly owned by the Thies Group. The Slovenian production facility manufactures high-quality and technically sophisticated products for a number of different industries.
